Domain Pulse Conference in Bern Only Days Away

Domain Pulse, the annual domain name conference of the German-speaking world, is only days away. It will be held in the beautiful Swiss capital of Bern on Monday 18 and Tuesday 19 February.

The 2019 hosts are SWITCH, the Swiss ccTLD manager. Alternate
hosts are nic.at, who will host it in 2020 and DENIC (2021).

On the programme this year are presentations on internet governance by Wolfgang Kleinwächter and Thomas Schneider from BAKOM, a panel on increasing internet resilience including ICANN’s Domain Abuse Activity Reporting and how a couple of ccTLDs (.dk and .ch) and Swiss police are dealing with security, digital identities, e-voting and finally on a highly secure internet architecture for the 21st century.

Conference registration is free, and while German speakers will present in German, other presentations are in English and there is usually translation of keynote presentations, if not all presentations and panels.

The conference will be held in Bern’s Rathaus (town hall), in the heart of the historical old town. There are a number of conference hotels, however conference discounts no longer apply.

The Domain Pulse conference is not affiliated with the Domain Pulse domain name news website.
