.ORG Domain Tops Chart in Week With No 6-Figure Sales

Domain Name Journal logoThere was only one domain name sale above $20,000 in a quiet week for big sales, and that allowed a non-.com domain name to top the weekly chart, with riseup.org topping the chart in a $75,000 sale brokered by DomainMarket/Uniregistry Market.

For the week ending 19 March, caps.co.uk came in second and fenius.com third, selling for £15,000 ($18,750) and €14,000 ($15,120) respectively to round out the top 3 sales on the Domain Name Journal chart.

On the TLD side of things it was a relatively quiet week for the .com top level domain, taking out 9 of the top 20 sales, three for .org, 2 for .tv and one each for .co.uk, .it, .net, .co, .de and .casino. For the aftermarkets, Sedo dominated with 16 sales, while DomainMarket had the remaining 4, 3 on their own.
